First United Presbyterian Church

Stewards of God’s Creation believe that the Earth is a gift from God to humanity for our use and enjoyment.

Stewards of God’s Creation also believe that God intends us to love the Earth as we love God.

Stewards of God’s Creation acknowledge that to live full and rewarding lives, we must take from the Earth the necessary elements for living: air, water, shelter, nourishment. We also see, hear, smell and touch the Earth’s beauty.

Stewards of God’s Creation lament the abuse, direct and indirect, of the Earth for profit and excess. We strive to return the Earth to a state of harmony between humanity and all the flora and fauna, fish and fowl, mountains, valleys, plains and prairies, lakes, rivers and oceans.

Stewards of God’s Creation work to change laws, policies, behavior and attitudes that are insensitive to environmental issues.
