Faith Education for children is focused on helping the children to see how the Bible is relevant for them in today’s world—through sharing where we see God at work in our lives, through mission projects where we see God “multiplying” our gifts, and by learning more about God’s awesome creation.

“Seasons of the Spirit”Beginning this fall, FUPC will be using “Seasons of the Spirit” curriculum for children through sixth grade. The lessons are based on the lectionary for each week (Bible readings) and include thoughtful ideas to help children respond to the scripture in a variety of ways. There is also a downloadable booklet for families to use at home to continue the conversation around the scripture.  This and other links can be found at

The following is a collection of the children’s thoughts regarding where they have seen God in their lives:

We see God, the Creator, in the moon and in the stars, in rainbows as well as in rain.

We see God, the Great Artist, in sunrises and sunsets, and in the ever changing beauty of the seasons.

We experience the Holy One, in answered prayer and through God’s amazing grace.

We experience God’s love in friends, pets, sharing birthday cake and in service to others.
