Albany Symphony’s Compose Yourself

First United has been selected to host the Albany’s Symphony’s Compose Yourself program. This is a series of Friday evening composition seminars with world-renowned composer, George Tsontakis. The dates are: Mar. 16, Apr. 20, and May 18. The workshops will be held from 6–7:30 pm in the Rose Room. On May 19, there will be a composition recital. Fee:  $25; Students and all First United members free. This program is not only for accomplished musicians! Anyone is encouraged to participate. Early Childhood Music

First United is pleased to host Music Together in our facility.  This is a highly acclaimed music and movement program for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, big kids, and their parents/caregivers.  The classes are taught on Mondays: 9:30 am, 10:30 am & 5:30 pm. A Troy Night Out Event:  Troy Children's Chorus in Concert

Having just returned from a festival performance in Maine, the chorus will share its magic with Troy!
Maury Castro, Organ Concert
Sponsored by the deacons of First United

Mr. Castro, Minister of Music at FIrst United, will play a short concert of Bach and Boellman. The concert will be followed by a luncheon.
NEST 4th Annual Black Gospel Benefit Concert

Men’s Choirs from around the capital district will come together at First United to present a benefit concert to support NEST (Neighbors Establishing Support in Troy). NEST is a church-supported mission project seeking nonviolent solutions and community building. Also featuring the First United Chancel Choir. A free will offering will be taken, followed by a dessert reception.

Troy Children's Chorus Spring Concert
Saturday, June 2, 4:30 pm
This concert will take place at Steamer No. 10 Theatre in Albany

Presenting its final concert of the year, the chorus will perform music from throughout the year plus a few new pieces. Free admission.
Troy Music Day Camp 2012
June 25-29, 9 am to 4 pm

In its fourth year, this camp educates and entertains first through sixth graders from all over the region. Registration material avaiable at the camp page on March 1.
