Albany Symphony’s Compose Yourself

First United hosts the Albany’s Symphony’s Compose Yourself program. This is a series of Friday evening composition seminars with world-renowned composer, George Tsontakis. The final date of the semester is May 18. The workshop will be held from 6–7:30 pm in the Rose Room. On May 19, there will be a composition recital at 10 am. Fee:  $25; Students and all First United members free. This program is not only for accomplished musicians! Anyone is encouraged to participate. Early Childhood Music

First United is pleased to host Music Together in our facility.  This is a highly acclaimed music and movement program for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, big kids, and their parents/caregivers.  The classes are taught on Mondays: 9:30 am, 10:30 am & 5:30 pm. Troy Children's Chorus Spring Concert

This concert will take place at Steamer No. 10 Theatre in Albany

Presenting its final concert of the year, the chorus will perform music from throughout the year plus a few new pieces. Free admission.

Three of the area's finest trumpeters will join forces in a joint recital in the sanctuary. Composers include Britten, Dello Joio, Ewazen, Gabaye, Ibert, Mendez, Purcell, and Wilson. The concert is free with donations accepted.

Troy Music Day Camp 2012
June 25–29, 9 am to 4 pm

In its fourth year, this camp educates and entertains first through sixth graders from all over the region. Registration material avaiable at the camp page.
